For those of you aren’t quite at this stage in your relationship, you’re gonna want to jot these things down. For those of you who have passed this threshhold, sit back and enjoy a few throwbacks.
This morning, I woke up with a new mindset. I left the fear, nerves, and self-doubt behind and held my head high with confidence. I am a gladiator.
I’ve been the “new girl” my entire life. From high school to high school as a teenager, to going off to college, and the most recent start of my new full-time job.
Today marked my 8th week as the Freshman Communication and Marketing Coordinator in ASU’s enrollment services department. If you would have asked me where I would be in my career 6 years ago, I couldn’t have imagined where I am today — not even close. Being an influential part of marketing and branding for ASU has literally been my dream. I’ve gone from an obsessed ASU fan to an employee in what feels like days! But in order to get here, I’ve had to make some pretty tough decisions.
It’s been months since I published my last post. The entire summer to be exact. But I assure you, I’ve had a few darn good reasons why. These last few months have been by far, the most challenging of my life to date. I’m not even sure where to begin.
But I’m breaking my silence today because I’m ready to talk.
This is a little tale about my sweetheart. It’s also about learning how to love, how to forgive, and how to say yes to the things that may not be so popular.
Habits. We all have them. Good or bad, there are always a handful of things that we just seem to do naturally. So I’ve made a little list to share with you all, but mostly to hold myself accountable for some of the good habits that I’d like to start this year!
I’ve spent the last 4 hours of this day scrolling through my social media feeds admiring happy family photos of my friends with their fathers. Usually, on this day I’ve spent in celebration of my own father…but this year is a bit different.
