The pages of who?
I’m a 20-something living in Phoenix who’s moved so many times that I have a hard time explaining where I’m from in a complete sentence. People know me as the happy-go-lucky Arizona State grad, marketing enthusiast, and the pet parent of a sassy guinea pig named Mamas. When I’m not busy being a daughter, sister, and girlfriend, you can also find me in line at the grocery store picking up $5 bottle of Moscato or sipping on a Long Island iced tea like it’s a juice box. It’s all about balance right?
I started The Pages of Paige early in 2017 because I’m still trying to figure this whole “adulting” thing out — and I know that I’m not alone.
As a kid, I couldn’t wait to grow up.
Everyone made it look like such a piece of cake. I didn’t understand why everyone was always telling me to “slow down” and “not to rush it”. But now, as a rising twenty-something, *click* it all makes sense. Adulting totally stinks.
Honestly, between me and you, one day I realized that I knew absolutely nothing about adulting. Like seriously, how do you “adult” and where can I learn how to be good at it? From personal experience and plenty of trial and error, I’ve learned that being the perfect adult is like the modern-day Santa Claus. Honey, it just ain’t real.
And that’s why you’re here.
You’re here because at some point in your twenty-something life you’ve asked yourself,
“Does everyone else have this adult thing figured out and I just missed the memo? Why does it feel so hard for me when everyone else looks like they’ve figured it out?”
Well, the answer is hell no!
There’s no secret sauce to being a kick-ass grown up, but there are so many things that we can do to make the most out of this stressful-amazing-twisty-confusing-rollercoaster experience that we call adulthood.
So this page is dedicated to all of us — the evolving and confused. Together, we will fearlessly navigate through the ups and downs of this crazy adventure. Sure, there’s a sh*t ton that they didn’t tell us about being an adult, but trust me, we’re going to find out.
So get in loser, we’re going shopping!
