So you’re a “Lifestyle blogger” you say? What does that even mean?
To be completely honest, I wasn’t entirely sure of what a lifestyle blogger was until I started digging on the internet a few months ago (and I’m still sorting it all out). Truthfully, when I started my blog I was still unsure of what inspired people to share their thoughts and feelings online. What made them successful? How do they gain a community of dedicated readers and followers? So when I thought about creating my own, I had a lot of swirling thoughts.
“Who’s ever going to see it?”
“Who will take the time to read MY blog?”
“Theres no way that anyone will want to follow me…right?”
“Will they care about what I have to say?”
I had so many unanswered questions and doubts about starting a blog. But one day, I just started writing. That was in March of this year. I’ve had peaks and valleys of my writing but over the year I haven’t been able to keep my fingers off of my keyboard. So last week I jumped completely out of my comfort zone and forced myself to take a risk.
Invest in my blog.
That’s what inspired The Pages of Paige. I had an honest conversation with myself and committed to my writing. I purchased my domain name, created my brand, and promised myself to stay true to this platform. I want to share my life with the world, and that’s all of you. I want to open my mind and my heart with you all so we can share ideas, stories, and everything in between.
Oh my goodness guys, I am so excited! I haven’t felt this inspired in a while. I am overwhelmed with ideas of topics, things to share and ways to make this a true extension of my life. Ever since I upgraded to MY OWN WEBSITE (I still get goosebumps saying that), I haven’t been able to stop checking in! Every free moment I have at work, I’m logging in, jotting down ideas on the corners of napkins, and driving my boyfriend nuts with my inspiration. Bless his heart.
For those of you who are wondering what a lifestyle blogger is, or are considering starting a blog of your own, DO IT! If you enjoy writing and sharing your thoughts, what’s really stopping you? Just go for it. If you’re anything like me, pressing the publish button will give you the jitters — to see your own writing on the web, for anyone to see. For those of you who have been so amazing to follow me, or just read along, I have to say thank you from the bottom of my little heart. I am so blessed to be able to have you here and I hope that you can find value in my writing.
So everyone, I can’t wait to share all of my ideas with you. I want to make each post meaningful for you, use my writing to tell a story, and to give us both something to look forward to. All of this writing has made me feel so electrified! I’m trying to take this blog into a more focused direction so you aren’t just reading rants about my everyday mess.
I want to share the things I’m learning, motivation, daily topics in the blogisphere, and so much more that I’ll explain later.
I’m so excited. Stay tuned!
